Review on 2009 Draft Picks R1-R3 due Thanksgiving Day 9pm Pacific

Hi guys!

Please leave your comments regarding the status of your 2009 draft picks.  I’ve decide to do 3 rounds instead of the previously transmitted 2 rounds.  Comments should be no longer than the ones you are providing for the mock drafts.

When I put the draft ratings online, I will include some type of rating that you shall provide with each comment.   I am throwing out the following rating system as a suggestion.  I would think that #1 and #6 would not be applied to 2009 draft picks, as it is too early to make firm judgements.

1 – Star Already

2 – Solid Starter

3 – promising contributor

4 – jury is out

5 – disappointing thus far

6-bust

CMD#5 is not a major revision – many of the picks are the same, but there are quite a few teams that are getting some new players also.   Next week OTOH we’ll get a revised Big Board, as well as a 3rd round.  Mike Iupati keeps sneaking upward in his draft spot, despite being an OG prospect.  I don’t think he’s the 2nd coming of Steve Hutchinson, but maybe I’m wrong.

Hi Guys,

Please leave your team needs changes here for CMD#5.   If you’ve only got a few – just list those few instead of the entire grid.

CMD#5 probably shouldn’t be a big change over #4 as the Big Board remains the same.  However the shifting of teams as a result of Power Ranking revision could shift player assignments.

For Thanksgiving week, I will add a 3rd round and we’ll have a revised board.  In the past, Thanksgiving week usually produces a significant traffic increase for the site . . .

Hi Guys,

Enter any team needs changes by Tuesday Nov 10 (if any).   Consensus Mock Draft (CMD) #4 will be a 2-round mock draft, so it is only necessary to provide the top 5 (or so) positional needs for your team.

As is the process, on Tuesday evening I will run the model to generate CMD#4.  I will then post the results here in this blog, awaiting your comments on your teams picks.

The next CMD will be two rounds and have commentary for both.

Please post your team needs here on this topic header.   Bump it up to 4 or 5 of the most pressing team needs.  If you cannot come up with that many P1-P3 needs, use the P4 for “depth”.   I will then code the remainder of your teams needs as P6 or P9 so as to provide some delineation with the P4.

P5 you can use that, but the purpose for P5 is for a higher priority beginning in Round 3.
